Geoffrey Paul Boers is the choral director at the University of Washington, where he conducts the UW Chamber Singers, a 44-voice choir of graduate and advanced singers, and the University Chorale, the department’s premier undergraduate vocal ensemble. Boers also teaches choral literature, conducting, and choral techniques as a part of the graduate choral curriculum. The ensembles at the University of Washington maintain a busy and demanding performing schedule. They have been featured at many honor festivals, conventions, and workshops.

Boers is in constant demand nationally and internationally as a conductor, clinician, and workshop leader. In addition, he has conducted numerous All-State choirs, as well as honor choirs across the US and Canada, in London, Bangkok, and the Banff Centre for the Performing Arts. He has had articles on current trends in music education and rehearsal pedagogy published in many recent choral and music education periodicals and presented workshops at MENC and ACDA conventions.

He holds a doctorate in choral conducting with specialties in Renaissance musicology and choral pedagogy from the University of Arizona.
