NEW! CHORAL CLINICS
With Indigenous Music Specialist, Deanna Gestrin
New this year, Deanna will be leading a 30 minute workshop with every choral pod. This will be in addition to the 30 minute clinic time each ensemble receives with one of their adjudicators.
When we prioritize experience, feeling, and connection over technical performance, singers tap into something really important. In this experiential workshop, Deanna Gestrin introduces Indigenous perspectives and ways of knowing and being into the choral setting, inviting singers to explore music as a practice of relationship, expression, and community connection. Through storytelling, song, reflection, and heartful music-making, participants will explore the experience of ‘singing by feel’ giving themselves permission to be present, expressive, and connected without the pressure of 'getting it right'.
Drawing on Indigenous musical traditions that have sustained communities across Turtle Island for thousands of years, this workshop invites singers to reconnect with the human experience at the heart of music: making sound together, listening deeply, and finding our place within a collective voice. Singers will explore how cultivating a sense of belonging, emotional connection, and shared experience can enrich the choral experience and create a meaningful foundation for musical growth.
Concession STAND
We are aware that there are no eating establishments within walking distance of our venue this year. To try and fill that void, we are running a concession stand with drinks, snacks, and a few light meal options. Tax is included in the prices listed. Payment can be made on site by cash, credit, or debit. Our online concession also gives parents the option to order and pay for their kids snacks remotely, if needs be. (Note: This is not intended to order ahead of time and pick up later, so please only order online at the time when your child is at the concession stand and able to pick up their snack.)

Postponed: Kiwanis AMPED! Festival - unfortunately, AMPED! will not be part of our 2027 Festival cycle. We are working towards developing this arm of the festival for future years.
